A few personal snaps from our trip to Barcelona.  Chance for me to leave the expensive gear at home and take a few pic’s for myself on my 5 year old D70.

I splashed out on a new Nikon 70-200mm VRII zoom lens a few days ago.  My old telephoto was showing it’s age so time to get the latest fast glass from Nikon in time for this years wedding season.  It’s expensive (still in denial), heavy and rock solid, and it takes stunning images!  I’ve only had chance to try it out quickly but the images were tack sharp even at slow shutter speeds.  I managed to get usable images at 200mm with only 1/10th of a second shutter speed, hand held!  This won’t be my normal practice, but handy to have that ability especially in those dark churches.
